Bill retired in 2021 after 40 years as the Director of Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.   His relationships with Christian ministry, mountains, and resorts includes time spent with First Baptist Church, Tahoe City in 1979 (He is 68 years old, in case you are trying to do some math)! 

 

His love for God results in a gentle desire for relationship and a deep care for all.

His love for people is shown in acceptance and generosity.    His love for mountains expresses itself in hiking, snow skiing, and just sitting, admiring the views. 

 

Smoky Mountain Resort Ministries under Bill’s guidance was known for careful attention to ministry programs that were designed to affirm people and enable them in their experience of God. 

 

Bill lives just outside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and also keeps a small tree farm in his home state of Georgia.

Bill will serve as the resort minister for First Baptist Church of Tahoe City from October 2022 through May 2023.
