First Baptist Church Tahoe: Our Story
More than 60 years ago, a small group of people shared a vision for a North Lake Tahoe church that would feel like home. They aspired to create a Christian community in Tahoe where neighbors, visitors, families, and friends could come together to experience God's love in a genuine and welcoming atmosphere, embodying the essence of the FBC Tahoe story.
Since then, our North Lake Tahoe church has been shaped by the unique rhythms of mountain life. We've shared God's love through ministries in casinos, campgrounds, festivals, sporting events, children's and youth programs, and ski resorts as a part of our Christian community Tahoe. As North Tahoe has grown and changed, the FBC Tahoe story continues to evolve as we find new ways to serve the people who live, work, and vacation here.
While our methods have evolved over the years, our mission within the Christian community in Tahoe has remained the same: to reveal the presence of God to everyone who calls North Lake Tahoe home, whether for a lifetime, a season, or just a weekend. This is at the heart of the FBC Tahoe story.
