Church Like You’ve Never Seen It Before!

You are invited to an interdenominational worship experience on the mountain sponsored by First Baptist Church of Tahoe City. Our ski chaplains are volunteers from a variety of churches and denominations. Our purpose is to provide a Christian worship experience in a beautiful setting. Our hope is that you will experience the glory and majesty of God in the worship service.

Church services are held every Sunday at each of the ski areas below. Services begin the Sunday after Christmas and continue through Easter. At each location, you will see a cross in the snow. This is where the services are held. Each service begins at 2:00 p.m. and lasts 15-20 minutes.

Northstar California – Top of Vista Express Chair
Diamond Peak – Top of Lakeview Chair

Serve as a Ski/Snowboard Chaplain!

We would love to talk with you about serving as a ski chaplain this winter!  If you have never served as a ski area chaplain, simply fill out our application and we will be in touch with you soon.  If, however, you have served as a chaplain in the past, please fill out our availability form for this season.  The application deadline for 2022-2023 is December 12, 2022.

There will be a mandatory ski ministry meeting at First Baptist Church of Tahoe City (date to be determined). The church is located at 390 Fairway Drive, Tahoe City, CA 96145.  Please email our resort minister Bill Black at bill@fbctahoe.com for more information.

Spend a winter as an intern!

Do you have a desire to follow Jesus and a passion for the mountains?  Then spend this winter in Tahoe learning how to share the love of Jesus with those who live, work, and play in Tahoe City, California! For decades, Lake Tahoe has been a mecca for winter sports. But life in a resort community is not all fun and games!

We provide: 

• $500 monthly education stipend

• $250 monthly food money

• Free airfare to and from Tahoe

• Free housing

• Free lift tickets and equipment rentals for skiing/snowboarding

• Coordination with your university for possible internship credit

• We will help you get a part time job at an area ski resort. This will also aid in building relationships and ministry.
